It is possible to ship parcels to MCH2022. However, it's a lot of work for us and many things can go wrong. Therefore, we'd prefer it if you can find alternatives to shipping things to the site. This way we can avoid a lot of disappointment and effort.

* Please try hard to find someone with a car who is going to the site. If you don't know anyone, ask on the IRC channel (#mch2022 on OFTC).

* Check whether your local hackerspace is organizing bulk transport to the site (many are) and whether you can ship/bring things to said space ahead of the event as well and have it join said transport.

What can go wrong
* We have no way of tracking packages beyond this (publicly editable) wiki page. Packages can get lost, misdelivered, or damaged and we are not able to do anything about it.
* The event is at a site that does not usually receive large volumes of mail and is not familiar to courier services. This means delivery services may attempt to deliver to the wrong place, and packages would be very difficult to trace.
* We are not set up for significant logistics and package handling on site. We are all volunteers that have a lot of other tasks to do and package handling is something we do when we can and if we can, but our priority is making a cool hacker camp happen, not running a post office.

If you have no other options, we do offer a best-effort service, but there are no guarantees. Specifically:

DISCLAIMER
* MCH2022 and Stichting IFCAT Foundation accept no liability for your package.
* Although we will sign for receipt, we are not able to take responsibility of your package. If it happens to be damaged, stolen in transit, has the wrong contents, or it gets delivered to the wrong place, there is nothing we'll be able to do to help you.
* If for any reason your package seems dangerous in any way, we might reject or dispose of it before informing you — and still disclaim any liability.

If your package gets lost, there is nothing we can do about it. Please only use this option as a last resort.

Howto
To ship a package to MCH2022, follow the following steps

1. Make sure it's a package, not a letter/envelope. We have limited infrastructure for handling packages but no infrastructure at all for handling envelopes. Sorry!

2. If your package is above 23 kg it **must** be on a pallet. Make sure it is either below that limit, or packaged on a pallet. If a package is on a pallet, make sure it's weatherproof as it may get rained on during transport and storage.

3. Make sure the package does not consist of food or perishable items (see below)

4. Check that the package is able to arrive between **Monday, July 18th** and **Tuesday, July 26th**. We are not able to receive packages at all outside this time window. If a package arrives outside that time window, it will most likely not reach us, and therefore also not reach you.

5. Make sure the package is addressed correctly. Please use the following address format if possible, or at least include all the following information:

To: YOUR NAME @ YOUR VILLAGE
MCH2022 Team Logistics p/a Scoutinglandgoed

Nulderpad 5
3896 LV Zeewolde
The Netherlands

Note that "LV" is part of the postal code "3896 LV".

If the shipping company requires a phone number, put **your own** phone number on the shipping label. That way you can react if the shipping company gets confused about where to deliver. Please do not use our phone numbers, as we can't guarantee reachability at the time the package is due to be delivered.

6. Add your package to the list at the end of this page. The list is sorted by projected arrival day. Please keep it this way. We will update this page once we receive the package.

Perishable or food items
Perishable or food items include BBQ meat, pizza, drinks, and perishable foods. We cannot handle deliveries of such items on site at all.

We have contractual obligations to our food vendors on site that prevent us from delivering food or accepting food deliveries. We also don't have the capacity for cold storage, rapid delivery, or food-safe logistics. Please understand that we can't offer this kind of service and don't ask us about it. Sorry!

If you want to have food delivered to you on site, you're on your own. You will have to wait for it at the gate until it arrives and intercept them yourself. Delivery trucks are not allowed on the terrain. Be aware that many food suppliers have quite strict policies on deliveries, and will not deliver to a site like ours anyway. If you need large quantities of food, a better choice might be to do a shopping run yourself in a nearby supermarket. A list of supermarkets and their opening hours are on the Supermarkets wiki page.

Martin:

search terms: packet delivery, logistics

Shipping things to MCH2022
It is possible to ship parcels to MCH2022. However, it's a lot of work for us and many things can go wrong. Therefore, we'd prefer it if you can find alternatives to shipping things to the site. This way we can avoid a lot of disappointment and effort.

Alternatives:

Delivery policy
No envelopes!
Note: we can't receive envelopes, so make sure small stuff is in a box even if it would fit in an envelope.

Small parcels
Small parcels (boxes) will be routed to our storage; once it has arrived, infodesk can tell you where to pick it up. The limit for small boxes is 23 kg. We will try to update this page when the shipment arrives.

Big parcels
Any parcel above 23 kg counts as big.

Big parcels **MUST BE ON A PALLET**. They will be delivered to the village directly if the village has a known location (a tent) that is reachable by one of the roads. If not, we'll leave it at a place we can access by road -- possibly in a restricted area from which you cannot pick it up without our help. Packages might get rained on in transit or in storage, so please make sure they are weatherproof.

Please do not have anything shipped to the site (by any means) that you are not able to transport back away from the site.

Expected/delivered packages - ADD TO THIS LIST!!
Please sort by date.

Our PEDs are configured by default in such a way that transactions can only be initiated from a connected ECR/POS.

Should the connectivity between the ECR and PED fail in such a way that it cannot be reestablished, the terminals should be reconfigured urgently to allow for manual processing.

* A designated member of the POS Operations team should try to resolve the issue first - possibly though the exchange of the affected PED or POS.
* If this is not successful or the issue is affecting all PEDs, a reconfiguration is to made through the Adyen Live-CA, allowing for Standalone Mode.
* Should this not be possible either, Adyen Operations is asked to intervene and manually enable the functionality.
* Team leads/supervisors will then be instructed to reboot their terminals in order to collect the new configuration.
* If required, a POS Operations Team member can use the Administrative PIN to manually start a configuration update on every PED. The PIN required for doing this may also be communicated to the team leads, if it is changed with the following new configuration.

Should all of these procedures fail, emergency terminals should be acquired and distributed.

Loss of Internet Connectivity specifically targets the case where the PIN entry device (PED or EFT) cannot communicate with the servers of the payment acquirer. While the POS/ECR might also not be able to access any services on the internet, this does not cover the issue of the POS/ECR not being able to reach its own backend service.
A loss of internet connectivity should be cause for concern, as the PEDs will not be able to transact online. As such, any transaction requiring online-connectivity (such as Online PIN validation, usage of limited fund cards such as debit or gift cards) might be negatively impacted.
Our terminals have been configured for offline transaction processing (Offline EMV as well as Store and Forward) which allows every terminal to process up to 1000 transactions without talking to the payment acquirer's backend. This should permit for enough time to either reestablish internet connectivity as a whole or provide emergency internet access to the payment terminals to synchronize their accumulated offline payments.

A loss of backend connectivity is defined as an event in which the Cash registers running pretixPOS (ECR) cannot communicate with their backend server (pretix/pretix-posbackend) anymore.

Impact
Unlimited products
Sale of products in an unlimited quota - which represent the majority of all items - will not be impacted, as the ECR will not have to actively confirm their sale and availability on the server. Sales should not be impacted.

Limited products
Sale of products in a limited quota will not be possible until the connectivity is reestablished. This should not cause any major inconveniences, as only select items from Merchandising are quota'ed.

Prepaid Vouchers/Giftcards
The sale of prepaid vouchers/giftcards will be impacted as the ECR won't be able to insert the code of the sold card into the database.

Additionally, performing sales of any product will not succeed, should the customer wish to pay for said sale with a prepaid voucher/giftcard.

Should a customer request to top up an existing gift card (they might have received plastic cards with the barcode which they want to keep using, for example), you can do so.

To get started, tap on the Gift card button on the bottom left of the screen and scan the gift card.

The next screen will show you the remaining balance on the card (if any) and give you the option to top up the card.

Enter the desired amount and confirm.

Please note that while you can sell multiple prepaid vouchers/gift cards in one single transaction, you can only sell a single top up at a time.

Topups are - as the sale of a regular prepaid voucher/gift card - only possible by means of cash payment.

Selling prepaid vouchers is as easy as selling any other item - except that you are able to enter the exact amount that the customer would like to purchase.

Click on the corresponding button and a screen will ask you to enter the desired amount.

Note: The system will issue one prepaid voucher per amount that you enter. Should the customer request 10 vouchers of 5 Euros each, you will need to sell them 10 individual vouchers of 5 Euro each - not one of 50 Euro. You can however sell them all within the same transaction - just add multiple vouchers to the cart.

Prepaid vouchers are only sold for cash - this is why you won't be able to accept any card payments at your cash register.

Once you have received the money from the customer, tap on the green Pay button. The green checkmark will indicate a successful sale and your terminal might - depending on the model you're working on - light up green.

The receipt printer next to your cash register should automatically start printing the appropriate amount of prepaid vouchers - one QR-code per voucher. Should the printing fail for any reason, you can tap on the cogwheel right of the Next customer button and select the Re-print tickets-button.

End of Receipt Roll
Always be mindful of the printed receipts: Should there be dark streaks on the paper, the roll is running out and needs to be replaced! Push down on the gray lever on the right of the printer to open its door and drop in a new roll of receipt paper - making sure to discard the first few centimeters of the roll as it is scratched up and has glue residues on it. If required, reprint the voucher codes on the fresh paper.

Non-Human Exchange
Should a customer prefer to not be served by a human but rather a machine, please direct them to the automated exchange machine. Feeding said machine with Euro-bills will yield automatically created vouchers of the same amount.

After logging into the cash register, you will be greeted with the sales interface.
You'll notice, that some items are displayed with the same background tile color: That means, that those products are grouped together - in our example you can make out the first group (red) being mate-based softdrinks sold by the bottle, the second group (blue) crates of bottles, the third group (green) hot drinks and the last group (red again) varied softdrinks.

Tapping on one of the product tiles will add the product to the current receipt, displayed on the right of the screen. To sell a product multiple times, tap the product button repeatedly.

Should you have added a product in error, just click the little x next to it on the receipt to remove it.

To empty the whole receipt (if a customer changed their mind and walked away or if restarting from scratch is just easier), press the red x button in the receipts headline.

Payment via Prepaid Voucher
While pretixPOS calls them "Gift Cards", we are using the term "prepaid voucher". It's those little papers or plastic cards with a QR-code on them, that people can get in exchange for cash if they do not want to pay by credit or debit card.

If a customer has a prepaid voucher, you will need to tap on the "Gift card" button on the bottom left of the screen and scan the vouchers barcode. A screen will tell you the remaining balance and offer you to use the prepaid voucher. The appropriate amount will be added to the receipt.

Should the amount on a single prepaid voucher not be sufficient to cover the purchase, more prepaid vouchers/giftcards can be scanned the same way.

An outstanding balance may also be paid by card.

However it is important, that any prepaid voucher is scanned after all items for sale have been selected. Only once all desired prepaid vouchers/giftcards have been accounted for, a card payment transaction may be started.

Payment via Debit/Credit card
To initiate a card payment, tap on the green Pay button and then the card symbol that pops up. Underneath the card, a line of text will keep you updated about the current state of the transaction.

Should you need to abort the transaction, you can use the back button on the bottom of the screen or press the red Abort-Button on the PIN-terminal.

Successful transaction
A successful transaction is indicated by the green arrow on top of the receipt view and a big Next Customer button. Depending on the model of cash register you're working on, the LED strip around the device might also illuminate.

You can now start a new sale by either taping on Next Customer or directly selecting a new product from the list.

Unsuccessful transaction
For a variety of reasons, a transaction might be unsuccessful. This is generally shown by an error message explaining what happened and - depending on the model of cash register you're working on - a red LED ring around the screen.

Some errors are easy to resolve: If the transaction did not succeed because the payment card did not have sufficient funds, you can restart the payment process and ask the customer to use a different card.

Should the recording of the transaction have failed and a positive balance being displayed on the bottom of the receipt, try pushing the transaction through by tapping on the Pay button again. Only if this fails, ask a team lead or supervisor to have a look and possibly to fill a trouble ticket.

Special Use Case: Discount Voucher
Select participants might be issued with discount vouchers that allow them to purchase specific items at a discount or for free. They will present you with a voucher with a QR-code that is specifically identified as a Voucher. Tap the Voucher button on the bottom left of the screen and scan the code. You will now see the items at their special price and can add them to the cart.

Once done, press the red x next to the voucher code to return to regular operation and either sell more items or cash them out as normal.

Depending on the role you are taking on as an angel, you will either have a personal account for the cash register or use a communal account.

As a rule of thumb, only positions that process hard cash (coins and bills) require a personal account, as traceability of handled funds is required. Since we are a cashless first event, this applies first and foremost to cash-to-prepaid voucher exchange stations.

Logging into the cash register
No matter if you are using a personalized account or not, the login screen will always be the same:

Tap on the button that represents your user.

<gallery>
Pretixpos login1.png|pretixPOS User Selection
</gallery>

In case the selected user has a password set, you will be asked to enter it now. Communal accounts might have a password set, too - even if you don't know it. Please contact your team lead or supervisor in case you don't know it.

<gallery>
Pretixpos login2.png|pretixPOS Password Entry
</gallery>

Wrong passwords are not indicated and will not prompt a message.

Communal cash registers might also not be logged out at all during the day. In this case, you can skip right ahead to selling products.

Troubleshooting
In case you cannot log into your account or face any other issues, please contact your team lead or supervisor first. As a second step, you can all the POS Operations team via the DECT network - just dial CASH. Please have the Till-/POS-number ready (written on top of the login screen).

If you just recently received your account (or your password was recently changed) and the cash register does not list it, please use the "SYNC NOW"-button in the bottom right hand corner of the login screen.

Martin:

Camper / Motorhome / RV / Caravan / Recreational Vehicle / Campervan

Are you joining MCH2022 with your own camper/caravan/etc ? Awesome! On this page all (*) information about using your vehicle is collected.

Make sure you have a camper ticket booked, this is needed to access the terrain.

Access
You can only bring your camper-van on the field with a valid camper-van ticket.

Follow the signs for camper-vans. After your ticket is verified, you will get the option to choose one of the camper-van locations. Camper-van spots are on a first-come-first-serve basis. Camper-vans cannot drive on and off the terrain during the camp, so make sure to do your shopping before you arrive.

Drive slowly on the terrain, there will be other traffic (vehicles and people). Take your time and have a sharp lookout.

Power
Getting power
Read this first on Power facilities ; basically, no blue CEE connections, you need Shuko ; bring a convertor like this one

As the fields are pretty big, make sure bring plenty of meters of cabling, so you are flexible in hooking up your vehicle.

There will be not enough direct power connections available to power each vehicle separately directly on the distribution boxes on the field. Sharing is caring, so please share power connections. Ideally, you have a cable that has an external Schuko connection, like this. Then your camper neighbour could plug-in via that connection.

Please bring IP44 rated power strips ( e.g. this one to make sure you and your neighbours can get connected. Make sure it is rated for 16A (or even more, 2.5 mm2 cable would be perfect)

Always ask permission and check for the most optimal daisy chaining. Best is to use the power strip near the distribution box, to limit the amount of current through the longer runs towards the vehicle.

Using power
Due to limited power on the field (and cost perspective), we have to conserve power as much as possible. Some rules (in agreement with Team:Power ) :

Do
* Normal light
* Device charging (laptop/phone/etc)
* Refrigerator

Don't
* Water heating (for hot water in your boiler or for tea) : use gas ; heating up water via electric wil consume too much power )
* Airconditioning units: don't use them, use natural airflow to let your camper cool down as much as possible. If it is really needed, only use max 1 hour just before sleep.
* Electric cooking: please don't, as this creates peak loads and can result in outages
* Other power-hungry appliances

Using your own generators is not allowed. Don't start your engine to charge-up your battery.

If you have a solar system to charge up your battery, that is allowed and encouraged, but make sure it doesn't feed back into the grid. Most systems don't, but just be sure.

Gas usage
You are allowed to cook on gas (not charcoal!) on the field. Please see Team:Fire's page about gas usage for details! Basically: make sure your system is up to spec and well maintained.

If you have a fixed LPG system for cooking, do know that getting LPG at a normal fuel station is not allowed in the Netherlands.

Fresh water
Make sure your fresh water tank is loaded for the amount of water required upon arrival; there is no camper-van service point.

Grey water
Make sure your grey water tank is completely empty upon arrival; there is no camper-van service point.

Don't open your grey water system to let the water pour out onto the terrain. If you have a system without storage, make sure you have a bucket or similar to prevent spillage into the field.

Black water
There is no camper-van service point. tbd if we can use toilets to dump black water. Don't use standard water points to clean out your black water tank , to avoid contamination.

Waste
Dispose your waste in the provided trash bins. Don't leave waste/anything when you leave.
Nearby camper service point
Nearest camper-van service point (make sure you are fully prepared before arrival): Huizen . There are some mixed reviews on the availability of grey water dumping. But fresh water and black water disposal is available. But again, you cannot drive on and off the terrain during the event, do all preparation before you arrive.

Tickets

Martin: /* What if I can't afford it right now? */

Ticket sales for MCH2022 have started!

Why the donation?
Vendors struggle due to the COVID pandemic. Instead of late down payments, they ask for earlier ones. If the event does not comply, there will be no tents or other vital parts of the event! For more see this blog post.
We think we can have MCH2022 in the summer, but the next breakpoint meeting is after the time these down payments will take place. Therefore, there is a small risk that we cannot refund the whole ticket price. Therefore, we put a part of the ticket price in a voluntary donation option.

Is the donation mandatory?
No, but an average ticket price of €333.33 is needed to make the event happen. If not enough tickets are sold, or the average price well below this price, the event cannot take place.

Can I only buy the ticket and *not* make a donation?
The ticket price is very low in the hopes the community reads and understands the situation and also performs a donation when buying their ticket. If you're very cash strapped you can better contact the organization for a discount on the ticket at a later stage, or only do the donation today.

In short the answer is: Yes you can. With the result that this will not allow MCH to perform the required down payments to their suppliers and reduces the chance that the event will happen. A donation is always optional, otherwise it would not be a donation.

Is the low ticket price and asking for donations a risk?
Yes, both are a risk. This approach is the most transparent way to tell the community how to sanely and transparently deal with the current risks. With this approach MCH2022 trusts the community to continue to be awesome and understanding of the current situation. We've always seen that trust is more important than adding more rules and complexities. This approach is clear and it is also a bit prone to abuse. If you see those issues immedeately: well done :).

Why are there early down payments?
Vendors struggle due to the COVID pandemic. They had to incur several major blows in cancelled events which where not refunded, they had little to no turnover and had to let the majority of their workforce go (giving them a lot of uncertainty as well). Instead of late down payments, they ask for earlier ones. If the event does not comply, there will be on tents or other vital parts of the event! For more see this blog post.

Why don't you do 'save your ticket' / 'bewaar je ticket'?
This is a common construction for festivals in The Netherlands, you can read about it on "bewaarjeticket.nl" / "saveyourticket.nl". MCH has not decided yet if this is a viable option. Some of the major downsides is the low price for the ticket today, as well as price inflation over three years. This causes a (growing) mismatch between the current price and the costs of the event in 2025. It might set un realistic expectations for the future.

What if you have to cancel the event due to the COVID-19 situation?
If we need to cancel the event -again- due to the pandemic situation, we will refund your ticket partially. Our suppliers have been hit hard by the pandemic too, and are asking for non-refundable down payments. Therefore we have no choice but to make the ticket partially non-refundable too. The non-refundable part of the ticket is 50,- euros. You can find the details of this in our terms & conditions and in this blog post.

What if I want to cancel in other scenarios?
If the event is not cancelled but you want/have to cancel your ticket, for example because of travel restrictions or personal health concerns, we have no one-size-fits-all policy, but contact us tickets@mch2022.org so we can see what we can do.

Why are the ticket prices higher than the last CCC camp?
When we were working on the budget, the intention was to have tickets at the same price or at a similar level. Unfortunately we are being faced with significant extra costs and uncertainty due to the COVID-19 situation.

Will there be gift cards for MCH2022?
There are no plans for gift cards for MCH2022.

== What is an 'anonymous' donation? ==this blog post

The IFCAT foundation (the legal vehicle for the event) would like to keep the ticket price as low as possible. To that end we asking people that can afford it to give a small donation that we hope will contribute to this cause. Donations will also greatly help us in creating as much financial stability as we can early on and to pay for non-refundable down payments to our suppliers.

How can I pay?
We support the following payment methods:

* Bank transfer (any SEPA country)
* iDeal (Netherlands)
* Giropay (Germany)
* Bancontact (Belgium)
* EPS (Austria)
* Credit Card (Worldwide)

If you want to help us save on fees, please consider using SEPA Bank Transfers. But please select the payment method that is most comfortable for you to use.

Why no cryptocurrencies?
We do see some advantages of cryptocurrencies and technically we could offer them as a payment option. However we have decided not to enable them at this point due to the administrative complexity they introduce.

What if I want to stay anonymous?
We respect that some participants would like to stay anonymous. In this case we recommend you find someone you trust and have them buy the tickets for you, using an (anonymous) email address during the checkout process. This way it won't even be clear which tickets have been bought anonymously. If this does not work for you, contact Team:Info and we'll try to set something up.

In the future we would also like to encourage hackerspaces to distribute tickets for cash purchase. If your hackerspace wants to participate in this, please get in touch.

Who do I contact if I have any further questions regarding ticket sales or need support?
Please write an email to tickets@mch2022.org and we'll get back to you asap.

I ordered the wrong size $MerchItem!
As long as you just want to change the size of the product you've ordered, you can do so yourself. Follow the link to your order confirmation - at the bottom of the page you'll find an option to change your order.

In case you want to swap out an item for a different one, please contact us by mail.

What if I can't afford it right now?
No worries! We understand that a lot of people are in a tricky situation financially right now. Luckily, we don't expect tickets to sell out that fast.

In the worst case you can always contact friends@mch2022.org and we can work something out.

What if I don’t have the financial leeway to get a ticket at these prices?
As we have always done for our events, we can look at your personal situation. Feel free to [reach out|mail] in any way and we can look at the possibilities.

Does this mean a voucher system will not be needed for MCH2022?
For SHA2017, we did not use the voucher system. We currently have no intention of using it this time either.

Why are the break-even ticket prices lower than the MCH2021 tickets?
For 2021, there were large uncertainties. Although these uncertainties are not gone, the corresponding costs are easier to predict. Besides that, the finances were reevaluated, and balances for parking and camper tickets are more reflecting their real cost.

How many tickets will be available?
For the permit, we are targeting a maximum of 3500 visitors.

Is it possible to come by car or camper? Or by boat?
Yes, however, you need a corresponding ticket. There are parking facilities near the field for cars, and a limited amount of camper spots on the terrain.
A ticket for parking a car is €80,-. Prices for camper spots will follow later.
There is a limited amount of docking area in the harbour. Availability and prices will follow later.

What if you have to cancel the event due to the COVID-19 situation?
As you can read in the "Navigating uncharted waters" blog post, we are in unprecedented times and we are doing everything possible to have an awesome event. If we need to cancel the event, you will get a refund of your ticket(s).

What if I want to cancel in other scenarios?
Can I still buy a gift card?
No, gift card sales are closed - but you can now directly buy a ticket!

How do I redeem my gift card?
When progressing to the payment step during the checkout process, you will be able to select "Gift card" as a payment option next to other payment methods like IDEAL, giropay, eps and credit cards. Please make sure to redeem your gift card first before paying any remaining balance with a different payment instrument.

How can I redeem more than one gift card?
Follow the instructions for redeeming a single gift card mentioned above. Once you have redeemed your card, you will be brought back to the very same payment step, allowing you to select "Gift card" as a payment method once again. Do this as often as needed to redeem your gift cards.

Do I have to use all of the money on my gift card in one purchase? What happens to any leftover?
When entering a gift card for redemption, you cannot select a specific amount to be used: The shop will as much as possible to cover your bill. Any remaining balance on the gift card can be used for further purchases.

How long can I redeem my gift cards?
You can redeem your gift card balance up until the day the event starts in the MCH2021 ticket shop.
* 50 orders have not been refunded yet, as we still need your banking information. Please check your mailbox for an email titled "We need help to refund your order!"
What is the status of my refund?
To learn the status of your refund (or refunds if you purchased a gift card and a ticket), please open the order confirmation page and check the order status in the top right corner.
* paid: We haven't started your refund yet. Please give us a few more days.
In addition to the above described order status, there should also be box right underneath titled Refunds. You might have one or more messages displayed:
* No refund box: Your order was cancelled and does not require any refunds. You probably donated your whole order.

If you happen to disagree with any refund, please contact us at tickets@mch2021.org with your order number and what you think should be different. We'll take a look at it asap.

If the event is not cancelled but you want/have to cancel your ticket, for example because of travel restrictions or personal health concerns, we have no one-size-fits-all policy, but contact us tickets@mch2021.org so we can see what we can do.

Why are the ticket prices higher than the last CCC camp?
When we were working on the budget, the intention was to have tickets at the same price or at a similar level. Unfortunately we are being faced with significant extra costs and uncertainty due to the COVID-19 situation.

What is an 'anonymous' donation?
The IFCAT foundation (the legal vehicle for the event) would like to keep the ticket price as low as possible. To that end we asking people that can afford it to give a small donation that we hope will contribute to this cause.

How can I pay?
For gift card sales, we support the following payment methods:

* Bank transfer (any SEPA country)
* iDeal (Netherlands)
* Giropay (Germany)
* Bancontact (Belgium)
* EPS (Austria)
* Credit Card (Worldwide)

Please select the payment method that is most comfortable for you to use. However, if you want to help us save on fees, please consider using SEPA Bank Transfers.

Why no cryptocurrencies?
We do see some advantages of cryptocurrencies and technically we could offer them as a payment option. However we have decided not to enable them at this point due to the administrative complexity they introduce.
As you can read in the "Navigating uncharted waters" blog post, we are in unprecedented times and we are doing everything possible to have an awesome event. If we need to cancel the event, you will get a refund of your ticket(s).

What if I want to cancel in other scenarios?
If the event is not cancelled but you want/have to cancel your ticket, for example because of travel restrictions or personal health concerns, we have no one-size-fits-all policy, but contact us tickets@mch2021.org so we can see what we can do.

Why are the ticket prices higher than the last CCC camp?
When we were working on the budget, the intention was to have tickets at the same price or at a similar level. Unfortunately we are being faced with significant extra costs and uncertainty due to the COVID-19 situation.

Refund progress
* Last update: 27.03.2021 22:45
* All giropay/eps/iDEAL/credit card refunds have been submitted to the payment processor
* Most bank transfer refunds have been prepared and will be sent to the bank on the next working day (Monday, 29.03.2021)
* 116 orders have not been refunded yet, as we still need your banking information.

* cancelled: Your order was cancelled in its entirety.
* Canceled (paid fee): You order was partially canceled - you probably donated some money to us.

In addition to the above described order status, there should also be box right underneath titled Refunds. You might have one or more messages displayed:
* No refund box: Your order was cancelled and does not require any refunds. You probably donated your whole order.
* A refund of €XXX,XX has been sent to you. Depending on the payment method, please allow for up to 14 days until it shows up on your statement.: We have sent the refund to our bank/payment provider for processing. The money should be already in your bank account/back on your credit card or arrive there shortly.
* A refund of €XXX,XX will be sent out to you soon, please be patient.: We have prepared your refund, but it has not yet been sent to the bank. Please give us a few more days.
* We've issued your refund of €XX,XX as a gift card. On your next purchase with us, you can use the following gift card code during payment: You paid part of your order with a gift card. The code displayed is the one you used. We have returned that money back to the gift card. If you check your gift card order, you should find another notice letting you know that we processed your refund.

If you happen to disagree with any refund, please contact us at tickets@mch2021.org with your order number and what you think should be different. We'll take a look at it asap.

If the event is not cancelled but you want/have to cancel your ticket, for example because of travel restrictions or personal health concerns, we have no one-size-fits-all policy, but contact us tickets@mch2021.org so we can see what we can do.

Why are the ticket prices higher than the last CCC camp?
When we were working on the budget, the intention was to have tickets at the same price or at a similar level. Unfortunately we are being faced with significant extra costs and uncertainty due to the COVID-19 situation.

* iDeal (Netherlands)
* Giropay (Germany)
* Bancontact (Belgium)
* EPS (Austria)
* Credit Card (Worldwide)

Does this mean a voucher system will not be needed for MCH2021?
For SHA2017, we did not use the voucher system. We currently have no intention of using it this time either.

Who do I contact if I have any further questions regarding ticket sales or need support?
Please write an email to tickets@mch2021.org and we'll get back to you asap.

Does a gift card guarantee the right to buy a ticket?
Yes, it does. For every gift card that is sold, we have reserved a ticket so you have the right to buy one.

What if I can't afford it right now?
No worries! We understand that a lot of people are in a tricky situation financially right now. Luckily, we don't expect tickets to sell out that fast.

In the worst case you can always contact tickets@mch2021.org and we can work something out.
If you happen to disagree with any refund, please contact us at tickets@mch2021.org with your order number and what you think should be different. We'll take a look at it asap.

If the event is not cancelled but you want/have to cancel your ticket, for example because of travel restrictions or personal health concerns, we have no one-size-fits-all policy, but contact us tickets@mch2021.org so we can see what we can do.

Why are the ticket prices higher than the last CCC camp?
When we were working on the budget, the intention was to have tickets at the same price or at a similar level. Unfortunately we are being faced with significant extra costs and uncertainty due to the COVID-19 situation.

* iDeal (Netherlands)
* Giropay (Germany)
* Bancontact (Belgium)
* EPS (Austria)
* Credit Card (Worldwide)

Does this mean a voucher system will not be needed for MCH2021?
For SHA2017, we did not use the voucher system. We currently have no intention of using it this time either.

Are gift cards refundable?
* Normally, they are not, this is just too much of an administrative burden. You can however sell it to someone else in the community.
* If the camp can't continue due to the pandemic, all gift cards will be refunded.
* If the event continues but you can't come, e.g. because of a local lockdown, please talk to us, since we will have to take this on a case-by-case basis.
