Covid policy is under constant evolution. This page is the SSOT and will be updated according to the current situation.
V0.9.4

COVID-19 remains a significant health risk and while outdoor events are some of the lowest-risk places to be in the company of several thousand people, COVID remains a significant health risk at MCH. The prevalence of COVID in the Netherlands is rising, and it’s likely to still be quite prevalent during the event.

What you should do

We strongly encourage you to:

  • Take a rapid test (lateral flow test) the day you leave for MCH.
  • Bring rapid tests with you to take daily during the event.
  • Bring masks (preferably FFP2 or better), and wear a mask if you're in an enclosed area
  • Take travel insurance with a cancelation policy.

We recommend all attendees to be up to date on their COVID vaccinations. Vaccination reduces your chances of catching COVID, and reduces your chances of spreading COVID if you do catch it.

If you test positive for COVID in the days before the event, please don't attend. Because we can not, and do not want to process medical information, we are not able to refund your tickets. Therefore we advise taking travel insurance with a cancelation policy.

If you experience symptoms of COVID during the event, please take a rapid test — if you don't have one, the First Aid tent will give you one for free.

If somebody in your village tests positive, please reduce risks and do not skip your daily rapid test.

What if you test positive for COVID

A positive rapid test means that you are likely contagious. If you test positive for COVID, please immediately start wearing a face mask, take great care to avoid close contact with other attendees, and leave the event as soon as you are able to. Even mild COVID won't be fun if you're stuck in a tent.

If you need assistance, call MCH emergency response teams by DECT at 911 and by GSM at +31 (0)85 234 1120. They will help you out.

What we're doing

We're paying particular attention to ventilation of our tents. Track tents will be having extra non-entrance openings in their sides. CO2 monitors are placed in the big public tents and measures will be adapted based on these measurements.

We'll provide plenty of places for you to wash your hands, with running water, disinfectant alcohol and soap.

Toilets and showers will be cleaned regularly.

We will encourage the use of face masks, especially in enclosed areas. Disparaging remarks to people that do wear face masks are not welcome.

We have made Rapid Antigen Tests available to staff and volunteers.
