TL;DR We want to have fun with electric cars and their charging ports:

  • How to charge them in a smart way
  • how to mitigate all the weird protocol issues of different cars?
  • how to integrate charging with smart grid and local PV?
  • any chance to connect it to my home automation?

We are part of the EVerest / Linux Foundation Energy Community[1]. The goal of EVerest is to develop and maintain an open-source software stack for EV charging infrastructure. Here [2] you can find a technical introduction (in German) to EVerest. We will bring 4 different EVs (Hyundai IONIQ 5, ŠKODA ENYAQ iV, Mercedes EQC 400 4MATIC, Tesla Model S ) directly into the campground to have some fun with their interfaces... Please let us know if you or your company have an interesting EV that we could use!

Activities

  • We will have a talk

2022-07-23, 22:40–23:10 on the abacus 🧮 stage ==> How to charge your car the open source way with EVerest[3]

  • We will schedule workshops for how to use EVerest and how to access a/your car. Just ping us if you are interested[4].
  • Local Energy Management Workshop Sunday 11:00 am in our Village[5]
