Constraints and requests

Where Who What
Everything User:redlizard Overall layout should ideally look different from SHA2017 to keep things fresh.
Everything User:redlizard Camping areas, different types of event content (program, food, bars), and crew facilities should be interleaved as much as possible, to ensure visitors will naturally see all these things as they go about the terrain.
Toilets and showers Team:Terrain water and sewer access
Campers Team:Terrain need to be parked at locations where they are allowed, as defined by Scouting. Broadly speaking, this means "next to a road", but Scouting has expanded on this recently [ask them for details].
Family Zone Team:Family needs to be at a place that is reasonably secluded, enclosed, and quiet.
Family Zone Team:Family Not next to open water, for safety reasons.
Family Zone Team:Family Needs nearby toilets. Would like nearby showers.
Family Zone Team:Family Family Zone older-kids workshop tent should be visible enough to attract attention from a wider audience.
Family Zone Team:Family Would like Babbage/Bool/Clarke fields as first choice
Stages Team:Content Needs to not be bothered by loud music from the partytent.
Stages Team:Content Speakerdesk tent and speaker lounge, reasonably accessible to the stages.
Stages Team:Productiehuis The largest stage needs wheelchair access, which means road plates between asphalt and stage. Can be plastic mats.
Bars Team:Horeca need a fair amount of backspace room for storing drinks and empty bottles [is this true for main bar only, or also the supporting bars?].
Bars Team:Horeca water and sewer access
Bars Team:Horeca Needs substantial power draw
Bars Team:Horeca near toilets
Bars Team:Horeca Wants to be near food
Food Team:Horeca need some backspace room that can be supplied.
Food Team:Horeca decent access to trash disposal. Walking a garbage container to a road is acceptable.
Food Most food trucks need access to water and sewage, but not all. There is room for clever tetrising here.
Food Team:Horeca Food areas generally need a place for people to eat their food nearby.
Food Team:Horeca, First-AID needs to be in a place where covid-safe traffic streams can be arranged.
Party lounge Team:Terrain needs to be in a place where loudness does not bother people too much.
Party lounge Team:Horeca Should be integrated with the bar area, to make the area more lively.
Badge bar Team:Horeca water and sewer access
Badge bar Team:Badge Would like to be slightly closer to the event core than last time.
Merch shop Team:Clothing production Would like to be somewhat quiet
Merch shop Team:Clothing production Would prefer harbour location
Infodesk needs to be at a place that is visible
Infodesk wants to be close to crew area to improve volunteering
First aid Team:First-AID Needs running water and sewer.
First aid Team:First-AID Needs to be reasonably visible, but preferably NOT in the center of activity. A bit to the sidelines would be better.
Central post Team:Security Needs decent road access
Crew area Wants everything to be compactly together as much as possible:
  • Backoffices want to be near logistics warehouse
  • Heaven wants to be the central hub
  • Heaven wants to be near logistics warehouse
Crew area Wants to be accessible by golf carts, and *reasonably* accessible by suppliers.
POC Team:POC Needs to be close to L0 utility building, because long distance phone lines are expensive. Verify this with Avonturenhuis unavailability.
Moebelhaus Team:Moebelhaus Needs to store kartents in a place where they can be supervised.
Parking Team:Terrain Needs to support three separate traffic streams: cars entering, cars leaving, and pedestrian traffic. The more these can be separated the better.
Logistics storage Needs good access to heavy vehicles.
Logistics storage Wants firm ground that does not turn into a mud pool.
Waste handling Needs occasional truck access.
Waste handling Needs to be somewhere where smell is not too big a problem.
Transformer Team:Power Needs to be directly on the outside-dike middle voltage line, and needs a short path to the inside-dike grid hookup point.
Battery bank container Team:Power Next to L0. [Or possibly the building at northeast liskov?]
Water buffer needs to be upstream of main water supply [at official terrain entrance]

Questions to figure out to resolve the above

  • Will the Avonturenhuis be available to us? Probably not.
  • Are our on-site infrastructure maps up to date?
  • What locations are available for camper usage?
  • Work out stages power requirements and limitations this implies
  • Is a parking entrance on the northern border of Alexander field feasible?
