Next to the Computent with our friends of the Nationaal Videogame Museum, there's a full retro tent with some working examples of both rare and common computers from the 1970s to the 1990s! All for you to play on, try them and even hack them!
The tent is filled by the HomeComputerMuseum, the interactive computermuseum in the Netherlands and one of the largest museums in Europe (https://homecomputer.museum) and Game-Inn from Belgium ( http://game-inn.be/). Here are a few things you can find in the tent:
We truly bring a bit of museum to MCH2022!
There are even challenges, because can you hack our MS-DOS 6.20, Windows 3.11 for Workgroups AND Windows XP machines? Those who manage to leave a message, will be rewarded!
Also, we'll be working to get actually dial-up Internet working under Windows 95 AND browse the Internet using a clever proxy so the websites can still be seen :)
If you have any questions regarding retro computing, the history of computers or brands or you just fancy to read your old 5,25" disks, we'll be providing all of this.
