| Acronym | AHA |
| What is the (deeper) message the acronym tries to convey | I personally come to Camp with the goal of being exposed to many new ideas, hoping for that elusive "aha!" where something that I have been thinking about crystallizes into a plan or a deeper understanding as a result of somebody else's novel viewpoint. |
| What concepts or ideas bind these elements (name, acronym, mood board) | We have found ourselves in a world where we expect that change has to come from above. We try to make change happen by forcing it politically. But we can take direct action instead: we can build tools for activists to communicate in unsafe places; we can build smaller, local communities that espouse our values; we can show the world a better way.
Realizing that you have agency, even in a small way, and can make change in the world directly is, in my humble opinion, the biggest "aha!" that a person can have. Finally, the "Aha!" moment is the reason that we all hack in the first place |
