We are nearing MCH2022 and it is time for some sweatshops to flash the badge and package it together with the battery, lanyard etc. We need some help to get it done: on this page you can sign up to help out.

How

Covid precautions

COVID cases are on the rise once again, so please:

  • Self-test before coming to Bitlair
  • Self-test after returning home

We wouldn't want to spoil anyones holiday plans. :)

Management & errands

2 to 5 people

  • Monitor everyone's health bars
  • Provide drinks to workers
  • Apply on-the-fly optimization to the sweatshop if needed
  • Ensure availability of materials to all stations
  • Move output to storage
  • Take pictures(?) and spam on socials

Packaging stations

2/3 people each, 7 stations total

Person 1

  • -> Get zip lock bag
  • -> Take badge flyer, add to bag
  • -> Take lanyard, add to bag
  • -> Take velcro pad and battery, add to bag
  • Pass to person 2 ->

Person 2

  • -> Get partially filled bag from person 1
  • -> Take other velcro pad and one of each sponsor item, add to bag
  • Pass to output stack ->

Output

  • Close bags
  • Arrange efficiently into box while counting
  • When box full, close it off & write count on it

Flashing sweatshop

This plan is preliminary, please treat it as such.

Station 0, Management & errands

2 to 3 people

  • Monitor everyone's health bars
  • Provide drinks to workers
  • Apply on-the-fly optimization to the sweatshop if needed
  • Ensure availability of materials to station 1 and 3
  • Move output of the last station out of the way

Station 1, Unzip

2 people?

  • -> Get ESD bag with badge
  • Take badge out of bag, pass down the line ->
  • Put bag in box

Station 2, Flashbang

4 people?

  • -> Get badge
  • Plug in badge
  • Flip both switches on the badge
  • Unplug badge when done flashing
  • If successful, pass badge down the line ->
  • If NOT successful, put aside

Station 3, Assembly

4 people

  • -> Get ESD bag
  • -> Get flashed & tested badge
  • Put badge in ESD bag
  • -> Get incomplete badge kit
  • Put ESD bag with badge in badge kit
  • Close badge kit
  • Pass down the line ->

Station 4, Stack

2 people?

  • -> Get zip lock bags
  • Arrange efficiently into storage unit (box/crate) while counting
  • When box full, close it off & write count on it
