MCH2022 is a "DIY" hacker event, organized by volunteers and everyone who visits. If you want to help and make the FamilyZone awesome, please join the team or organize a project. If you want to help at the event, please participate as an angel.

Terrain and location

  • We plan to go back to the original location: Clarke (big tents, activities), Boole (smaller children activities) and Babbage (quiet, sleeping)
  • The bar is expected to have more music, later at night. We should communicate with team terrain about this. Since this seems to be a professional setup, they should be able to do subwoofer steering to *not* send all the noise to family zone

Expectations of Family Village Zone

  • Professional childcare is possible, it will just cost a bunch of money. TODO: ask a few organisations what the possibilities are

(Question is: for how many kids? How many were there at SHA?)

Priorities:

  • Place for children to sleep (quietly)
  • Sanitazion
  • Safety (for kids)
  • Activities (zandbak, ballenbak, speeltent, workshoptent)

Money:

  • Budget for family village is 15k according to MCH budget
  • Swap train for childcare options maybe?

Safety during buildup / teardown

  • Kids should not be around during buildup/teardown - maybe see if childcare could cover this as well. But with driving Manitous is dangerous (T-3, check with PL)

Activities for the children

  • Content (workshops, vanaf hoe oud?)
  • (Grote videoscreens voor Netflix/YT content met kidsspul?)

Team Family vs Family Village

(To avoid any confusion: we're an official MCH orga subteam) Team is called: Team Family Location is called: Family Zone

Tuesdays, 20:00, first tuesday of the month
